We are a band of professors, independent researchers, and creative writers who decided to come together and do things right in the editorial services market, both by ourselves and most importantly, you. We’ve partnered together to ensure that we get paid a premium for our expertise and hard work while charging you less. We promise that our collective will never outgrow our passion for excellent editing, writing, and coaching the way that larger editing firms do in pursuit of higher profits.

Dr. Ani achieved a BA in Psychology from Spelman College, and an MA and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Her career has evolved from fieldwork as a practicing school psychologist in urban settings to research and teaching in R1 universities, working as an international advanced psychology course
Dr. Ani achieved a BA in Psychology from Spelman College, and an MA and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Her career has evolved from fieldwork as a practicing school psychologist in urban settings to research and teaching in R1 universities, working as an international advanced psychology course developer, ghostwriting nonfiction texts, and editing both academic and adult fiction manuscripts. In the past 7 years, she has served as an Associate Editor for a peer-reviewed Sage Publication journal, and as an Acquisitions Editor for a Cambridge, MA editing company. She enjoys reading, editing, or writing just about anything having to do with the human condition, including in the areas of (‘hard”) science, law, psychology, philosophy, K12 education, history, sex and anatomy, and nutrition. She is the Founding Editor in Chief at Elevated Editing Services (EES), overseeing every aspect of the EES experience for clients. She is a skilled researcher, writer, editor, and qualitative data analyst across fields and academic writing styles (too many to count!). Prior to joining EES as an Editing Partner, Dr. Stevens-Johnson was a writing fellow in the University of Maryland system for nearly 13 years. Our Skills
We have the education, experience, and resources needed to elevate your writing to the professional standards that the leaders in your field expect. As an Elevated Editing Services rule, we all have Master's degrees, Ph.D.s, or JD.'s with records of publication and no less than five years of reputable editorial experience. We'll always tell you who's completing your edits, ghostwriting, data analysis, or coaching, etc., and the qualifications they bring to their services for you. We aren't simply "academics" in the traditional sense of the word. We can provide color, texture, and depth to your draft or project vision.
